Professional Accomplishments:

After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Williams completed an internship at Cornell University, followed by a neurology specialty internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists. She recently completed a residency in neurology and neurosurgery at the University of Tennessee. During her academic career, she trained numerous students, interns, and residents. She presented research at the South Eastern Veterinary Neurology Group Conference in 2010 and the Comparative and Experimental Medicine and Public Health Symposium in 2014. Recently, she authored a paper published in the American Journal of Veterinary Research on PET brain scans in healthy dogs. Dr. Williams also published the first reported case of spinal extramedullary hematopoiesis in a dog. During her free time she enjoys painting, running, hiking, and traveling.
