What To Expect
Emergency Care
Our emergency services are available to you daily from 5 pm to 8 am the next day, and 24 hours a day on weekends and holidays. Upon admission the urgency of your pet's condition will be assessed and care will be prioritized accordingly. Depending on the severity of your pet's condition hospitalization may or may not be recommended. In keeping with our philosophy of working as team with your primary care veterinarian, all follow-up care will be provided at the office of your normal health care provider. Following each visit to our hospital your veterinarian will receive a written report of the diagnosis, care provided, and recommendations for subsequent care.
Referral Care
A visit to one of our specialists requires a referral from your primary care veterinarian. Your veterinarian may call our office to make the referral, however, we encourage them to provide us with a referral form that indicates the problem(s) to be evaluated, as well as all pertinent medical history. You can expect to have a detailed visit with one of our specialists that will assess your pet's condition, make recommendations and answer any questions you may have. You will also be provided with an estimate for the cost of the care to be provided. Expect your initial visit to last from 20 minutes to 1 hour, depending upon the nature and complexity of the problem. Following each visit your referring veterinarian will receive a detailed written report describing the outcome of your visit.
